Welcome to another enlightening episode of the Agent Investors Podcast, where we delve into the world of real estate with industry-leading experts. This time, we're thrilled to host Scott Zukin, the esteemed President of Zukin Realty, a pioneering real estate group based in West Chester, PA.
Scott's journey, shaped by his family's entrepreneurial spirit, is a tale of commitment, hard work, and adaptability. From running a cash register in his family's pharmacy at just 10 years old to overseeing the growth of Zukin Realty, Scott's rich experiences make him a captivating guest.
Raised in a Victorian home filled with antiques, Scott nurtured a knack for woodworking which led to his first business as a cabinetmaker in Philadelphia. But his passion for real estate began in 1987, and his experience in construction complimented his investment ventures.
As Scott delved into the family business, Zukin Realty, he collaborated with his brother Wayne, an experienced attorney, and his father Stan, the entrepreneurial spirit behind the company. Together, they transformed West Chester, a town that was over 60% vacant, into a thriving community.
Scott's leadership today sees Zukin Realty owning over 70 properties throughout Chester County, Philadelphia, and Upstate New York, and stands as a testament to their motto of "Building Community". Their commitment to community service, developing underutilized properties, supporting new entrepreneurs, and creating comfortable homes for residential tenants is truly inspiring.
In this episode, Scott shares his journey, wisdom, and the old-time skills of salesmanship and care for one another he's cultivated over the years.
